Poetry: Empty, Nothing

As quick as the spread of fire, the temper rises

Hot, reckless, frantic - burning all in its wake

It envelops every bit of my reason, my being, my soul

Til it consumes respect, contentment, happiness and Love

Then all of me is wiped out

Reduced to ashes, 
to emptiness, 
to nothingness.
